One of Australia's top artists, Nicola Burford has more than 20 years experience in the makeup industry internationally, creating looks for celebrities including Fergie, Dita Von Teese, MIA and Cate Blanchett. She's been a regular working at international fashion weeks including Alexander McQueen, Chloe, Balenciaga, Burberry Prosum and Vivienne Westwood. As director, Nicola led teams of artists for over a decade of Australian Fashion Weeks including Carla Zampatti, Akira Isogawa and Myer. Nicola was makeup director for music tours including Missy Elliot, The Black Eyed Peas and Christina Aguilera together with music, film festivals and award shows around the globe. 
Her editorial, beauty and advertising clients include Pages Digital, Elle UK, Grazia, Cue, Veronika Maine, Commbank, Qantas and Leona Edmiston. She was the first ever makeup director for the Sydney Dance Company. Televison, Marketing and Publicity clients include Shine, Red Engine (Seven Networks), Endemol, Nickelodeon, Disney and Harpo.
Nicola is a respected beauty authority and popular spokesperson, being regularly interviewed for TV shows, and held roles as Beauty Editor for Pages Digital, Makeup Expert for Primped and Beauty Heaven and a beauty contributor to many leading publications and digital media.
Nicola has been a media spokesperson for makeup brands including Illamasqua Australia. During a decade-long association with MAC Cosmetics, Nicola became an influential Senior Artist for Australia, acting as an ambassador and media spokesperson for the brand in a local and global capacity, both mentoring and training fellow artists and facilitating master classes for her peers and general public in the technique of the craft. As a key makeup artist in the International PRO Team MAC Cosmetics, she was also a product innovator, creating sell-out lipstick shades in collaboration with designers Tsubi and Morrissey. She was also part of the MAC global new product testing panel.
Now freelance, Nicola continues to expand her experience, striving to perfect the expression of her art.
